Are Maison Boo Products tested on animals?
No. Maison Boo have never and will never test their products on animals
Can I use your products if I'm pregnant?
We have now launched our new Body Bootique range which is specifically designed to help you relax and feel pampered throughout your pregnancy and into motherhood.
None of our products contain ingredients at levels that should cause concern during pregnancy. However, some people choose to avoid products such as our bath and massage oils as these contain pure essential oils at higher levels than the rest of our product range.
By advising you not to use our products during pregnancy we are being EXTREMELY cautious. If you have any concerns at all we have to advise that you show the ingredients list to your GP or pharmacist and ask their opinion before using any of our products.
Are the Maison Boo products suitable for Vegans?
Yes, all of the products are registered with the Vegan Society.
Why have Maison Boo chosen for their Products to be free from Parabens, Sulphates and Petrochemicals?
Parabens are used in an estimated 90% of skincare products. They are preservatives that extend the shelf life for many years. In healthy skin parabens are non-irritating. However in fragile, sensitive or young skin parabens may cause skin irritation, contact dermatitis and Rosacea.
Maison Boo products are paraben free as they are formulated to be gentle on the skin whilst releasing the aroma therapeutic properties of essential oils.
Sulphates (SLS, SLES) are surfactant chemicals used to help cleaning products foam. Sulphates strip the skin of its natural protective oil barriers and often leave skin feeling taught, leathery and irritated.
Maison Boo products are sulphate free to maintain a healthy skin barrier function.
Petrochemicals are chemical ingredients made from fractions of crude oil. The source of petrochemicals is non-renewable. Because of their occlusive properties, petrochemicals can clog the skin, preventing it to breathe.
Maison Boo products are petrochemical free to allow the skin to breathe. Maison Boo prefers to ethically harvest ingredients in a sustainable way.
